# L0008 reframed: AI ethics + workflow, not detection

Original L0008 was titled “Anti-AI Writing: Sound Like a Human.” The framing implied the goal was to disguise AI-generated output so it passes as human. User corrected this is the wrong framing.

Correct framing:
1. **Over-reliance on AI to write final content is impolite.** It signals to the reader that the writer didn’t care enough to think.
2. **AI is for scaffolding only.** Brainstorm, outline, draft as a starting point, critique your own work, fact-check, copy-edit.
3. **The act of writing IS the thinking.** Outsourcing the writing outsources the thinking. The reader feels the absence.
4. **The eight tells are symptoms, not the disease.** They show up when you let AI hold the pen too long in the process. Fixing the tells without fixing the workflow just produces better-disguised over-reliance.

L0008 fully rewritten under the new thesis. Filename and number preserved (`0008-anti-ai-writing.html`) but lesson title changed and core argument restructured around ethics + workflow.

For future lessons that touch AI, copywriting, or communication: always frame as “use AI as scaffolding, write the final yourself”, never as “make AI output look human.”
