# First synthesis lesson built (L0006)

L0001 to L0005 covered the vocabulary (CRAP, hierarchy, typography, colour). L0006 is the first lesson that requires the user to *combine* all of it on a single output. No new vocabulary, just composition.

Format used: a six-step guided design challenge over one brief ("explain the semantic layer to a non-technical prospect in one slide, ten seconds"). At each step the user makes one decision (focal point, layout, typography, palette, CRAP check, reveal), then opens a `<details>` to see the canonical answer. Ends with an 8-point design checklist + a 3-variant critique exercise.

The fully-rendered final diagram is built inline in HTML/CSS so the user sees a tangible &ldquo;before vs after&rdquo;. Reuses the L0005 neutral scale (`--n50` through `--n900`) so the lesson is also a worked example of the colour system in action.

Signal: synthesis lessons are heavier than concept lessons. Build one of these after every 3-4 vocabulary lessons rather than after every one. The mission ("explain BI concepts visually") benefits from frequent synthesis practice.

User instruction in the lesson: pick a real Holistics concept they need to explain in their actual work this week, apply the six steps + checklist, share for critique. If they bring one back, the next session should be a real critique session against their work rather than a new theory lesson.
